Sorry to hear that your plans did not turn out as envisioned.
Friday night I thought of riding from my parents' place to 7th District Elementary for the ride but I would have had to start very early to be there on time from Abingdon. It would have turned out to be a 110 mile day with a lot of headwinds getting there. I decided against it considering the wind and cool start and then having to ride home afterwards adding another 25 miles on top of the 110. Basically, I wussed out.
Tomorrow, I may do the ride from Manor Shopping Center (Jacksonville) to Delta. I'm going to drive to the ride start to conserve energy cuz I feel like tearing legs off--likely will be my own, but I need a hard day in the saddle.
