1984 used the set screw in the back of the seat tube. Some mid to high end models began using the internaly expanding post in 1985 but it was mostly Super Vitus 980 frames. There is no way a Reynolds 531 pro frame uses a 26.2...maybe a 27.2, but NOT 26.2.
