I wouldn't worry about a DIY on it from what I've seen...pretty much an unbolt/rebolt. Bigger issue is finding the other arms if it's a DA unit; that might be hard to find. The Pro/AM proprietary SRM units are a piece of cake to swap arms, you are beholden to Octalink BB's though. Still quite a few around, picked up two Dura Ace for the track bikes.
