1,646.88 miles and 129,958.88 ft (55 outtings +17 trainer rides), both my best yearly totals so far, just 6 miles better than last year though but 3,600 ft better.
Attended the Wine Country Double Metric but cut it short at 70 miles due to so pleasant weather... Completed my second Death Ride in a row, all 5 passes, and never felt as good after a long ride. It was my main goal and the competitive highlight of my 2009 cycling.
Had some always enjoyable rides with the local BF gang.
The true highlight of the year was getting a tandem and spending some super quality time with my wife on two wheels. I am looking forward for many more twogether rides in 2010.
I have a calendar conflict with the Death Ride next July so I need a new challenge. I am very close to committing to the CA Triple Crown quest. The target: Solvang, Davis, and Eastern Sierra.
