I generally felt pretty good about this year, if we don't count those failed double century attempts. I think I went into the double centuries a bit gung ho, and not really prepared. After DNF'ing Davis Double (after 136 miles, in triple digit heat), and DNF'ing Eastern Sierra (bailing after being snowed upon, and only 40 miles of riding), I just didn't have the urge to go for a double this year. I think soon after I got my fixie, and started commuting into work with that, it helped me immensely, and picked up my pace, and my fitness. I started losing weight, and my climbing improved dramatically. So I think the first half and the second half were dramatically different.

Totals: 5791 miles, 406,335 feet elevation gain, 12.87 avg. speed, and total time of 449:51:15.
