Basically the world is in recession and it has been coming for a couple of years. Bikes were selling well earlier in the year and with the stocks being depleted due to a cut in production for 09, certain types of bikes were in short supply. I know my LBS had the 2010 models in the shop in June due to the 09 bikes being sold out. By Christmas though they could not get hold of some 2010 models as they were sold out.
