What the heck is "known to the police dept" supposed to mean? A file for crank letters? I imagine every Muslim (or pick your own group stereotyped for suspicious behavior/bad intentions) in the country would have a file opened on them based on unsubstantiated reports from obnoxious do-gooders/snitches with a hyper sensitive trigger for reporting any and all activities/people that look suspicious to their nervous eyes.
