i checked with my importer/supplier. he says they stopped handling Macneil frames cuz many people prefer USA mades, and some other guys say they have a lot of flex, and they aren't as good quality as say, S&M. they have the view that its ok if its a bargain but if it ain't, leave well enough alone. hope this helps. let us know what you decide.
