Is a triple FD compatable with a double crankset?

I'm using some existing gear to finish of my commuter & light touring bike.

I've got a Sram S350 cyclocross double crankset with 38 & 46t chainrings that I will install on the bike, this will work well when I commute.

I may install a triple on this bike in the future. I'd like to install an IRD Alpina Triple Front derailleur. http://store.interlocracing.com/alfrde.html

Can I just adjust the stops to allow it to work with a double?
