Helmets are all about fear.
Cycling is no more dangerous than being a pedestrian.
Stories are told to wring out an emotional reaction and side step logical thought. Not making the best decisions lead to worse outcomes.
Head injuries among cyclists have gone up as more and more cyclists started wearing helmets.
and,
countries with the most helmet use also have the most head injuries.
