So, as i'm not a cop and don't mean to be, I'll probably prefer to comply with an attacker than to risk my life or that of people around.
My point is you take more risk carrying a gun than not.
This is 100% incorrect. Comply to an attacker? So if he's beating you with a club, you'd just lay down and let him because "violence begets violence?" I think you meant to say was: "comply with the aggressive party's demands." ie, wallet/watch/money etc. It would be nice if NOBODY had weapons, but that isn't reality. Until the crazies get rid of theirs, i'm keeping mine.
