Funny! I am the guy that didn't want the bike because there was too much rust. I chose to save my $650 (with shipping) to put towards a bike with less rust on the frame, don't think making that choice makes me an "idiot". Just because I don't want it doesn't mean somebody else won't. I admit there are many nice things about the bike included in the deal but when I purchase a C&V bike I look for condition of frame and fork first, all that other stuff is secondary to me. I believe this Miyata 1000 is still a valuable bike to someone without painting it but maybe not for your asking price. I would try ebay and open it up to a larger market. These bikes have a serious following you just need to get it in front of someone that is the right fit. Good luck with the sale.
