I am 0-1 as an amateur boxer. By TKO.
Long story. Short boxing career.
Everybody's a badass until they lace up 16 oz. gloves to their fists, and then suddenly, the rest of the world gets a little quicker than you. I was 22 at the time, and in decent shape even though I lost 8 lbs. in a week to make weight for the fight. God, I was dumb then.
Training is another matter and is very cool. You'll develop significantly more upper-body power; I don't know how this would help a cyclist. I believe you could up your anaerobic threshold slightly just because you're developing it in another way (more upper body movement). Could improve your core strength too.
Good luck, though I'd say you're probably not going to dramatically upgrade your riding through boxing training. Oh and beware counterpunchers with good balance.
