Really sad news. We had a 32 year old cyclist killed at a corner i pass on most of my rides. Its at Shoreline Village, his friends put an old bike there, painted it white with his name and a plea to be aware of cyclists. In Belmont Shore the city put a wide bike lane on 2nd Street, i was riding through when i just went to the right as far as i could with out hitting the parked cars, just a feeling i had. Then a car came up from behind, using the bike lane as the third lane! Would he have hit me? I had a thought that ya, he would have. He just continued on in the bike lane, speeding and passing the traffic.
