ID this very interesting top quality full suspension folding bike!

During my recent cycling tour in New Zealand, I saw this very interesting folding bike:

It had a Rohloff hub, dynohub at the front, very well-worn Brooks B17 saddle, and what looked like some Bike Friday stem. Plus the cabling reminded me of Len Rubin's ultimate folding bike. I think the back wheel folds under, then the front section folds back similar to a Brompton.

The frame looks vaguely familiar, some American builder I'm sure but can't recall the name. Or is it indeed an early Len Rubin?

I found it very interesting that the rear rim was unworn - perhaps he didn't use the rear brakes just like myself?

I deliberately didn't resize the pics. You can right-click on them and copy the url to view full size in a new window.
