what? are you talking about the bike on the left with the "touring" bars? I am no expert but from what I learned here isn't a two speed hub a 'kickback'? and why do you need brakes if it has a coaster brake?
You're right, Bianchigirll. That's a Bendix "red band" 2-speed hub and is shifted by back pedalling briefly. It also has a coaster brake so caliper brakes are not strictly needed.
