Yeah I think that is only going to save you some scratches on your chest, and I dont think there is any armor that will save you from broken ribs, that part of the body needs to be mobile flexible when riding, and using heavy armor will greatly decrease you performance, I have a 661 pressure suite, so far it has saved me from some nasty scrapes and bangs on my foreams and shoulders, but I dont see it protecting my ribcage. If you fall try to use your hands infront of you to lessen the the blow to your torso, or maneuver your body to avoid a hit to the ribs or something.
