Lugged Raleigh USA 753 Technium Team Bike

I have a unique Raleigh steel lugged 753 Technium bike with standard size tubing and a team number tag under the top tube. The bike has an SB85xx serial number so it's likely to have come from Raleigh's Ilkeston SBDU.

The story that I heard was that Raleigh USA had Raleigh UK build a number of lugged 753 team frames for them around 1985? They were painted here in the US. It's white with metal flakes in the clearcoat and has the same Technium, Team and Raleigh USA decals as the bikes pictured in this thread but the forks are black.

Here's some old photos by previous owners:

Note: the serial number is wrong in the BB photo. It's SB85xx

Does anyone here know when Raleigh USA went to these white frames with the red, white and blue "barber pole" design and purple lettering?
