I must be crazy. I just swapped bottle cages on my new bike, why? Only because I thought a different color would look better. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my cages except that they were white on my silver and green frame. So I got a pair of stainless steel cages and installed them. They DO LOOK SO MUCH BETTER, but I think I am crazy for spending money to replace perfectly good cages. If anyone wants a perfectly good pair of white Trek bottle cages I am willing to give them away for nothing. they are only 2 months old and have never been dropped or out in the rain.
Have any of you all ever done anything so anal?
