I like that not only did you fix the bike, but you also relaid the block wall in the background. Nice touch.
I think I may put the old lever back in for looks, good idea. I could even run a cable to my leg or something with one of those electric BBQ gas starters, apply shock the leg for braking, all hand controlled.

Yeah, I completely re-built my house in the process of fixing the bike... actually one side was shady in the morning, the other shady in the afternoon.
