I am ... an Alium abuser. It's good for me; you can kick em, crash em, beat em, nuke em (figuratively), and it would still work. No accidental unclipping, but it will never "jiggle" free. So you can end up upside-down with bike on top with you clipped in. You just need to ingrain your reflex to always SWIVEL OUT for unclipping. No wimpy noob panic jiggle out.

But SPDSL is prolly better for real riding with all that wide surface for pedaling.
