Sorry for the delay - I must have missed a lot of replies on this thread. Mark it up as computer illiteracy.
Fenders - I really like my Planet Bike Hardcore Hybrid Fenders. They mounted cleanly and securely - no rattles. They would give great coverage on 28 or 35 tires, and are "adequate" for 40s. They look great, and are holding up well.
I have since mounted a set of Serfas, and SKS for a couple friends, and find the PB Hardcores the cleanest, best, most rattle free of them all.
On top of that, the black ones go perfectly with my black bike - look like OEM.
