Anyway, the ride is advertised as rolling terrain. 10.5 miles. Well I did it and lived. I was so excited when I got finished. I know it doesnt sound like much but it was the most climbing I had done in one ride so far. Hard to stand up and pedal when that suspension fork is moving. I am not too sore today except for my rearend (will be going to try out new seats next week at the LBS.) I am thouroghly addicted now.

P.S. Is the consensus on these pedals are that they suck? They are the, I think $60 ones? It was increasingly harder to clip in as the ride went, clipping out was a crapshoot.
Do the pedals have an adjustment so you can clip in and out more easily?

Lock out the suspension if you can for road riding.
