Jur--looked at this Bike a few hours ago. You were spot on, its a Sears for sure but it doesn't appear to have the much sought after Torpedo Kickback IGH. Its a SS, maybe someone converted it way back when but otherwise its in good shape. I've never seen a Torpedo IGH close up & personal but the Hub looks pretty small and someone also painted it years ago from the looks of it. Just to make sure, I test rode the bike and tried to activate the kickback feature(if there was one) but no luck. Looking at the Torpedo Unit BF Poster Bruce Metras posted here the Torpedo Units appear much larger in Diameter then what I saw today. Its been repainted but tracks and brakes smooth. I deal with the seller who has this Unit quite a bit so I asked him to hold it for me for a day or two while I decide if I want it or not. I could convert it to a SA 3 speed for not much money. Its a Sturdy Bombproof looking affair I will say that and very simple as well.
