Roy, just do 3 things: 1. get a chain and padlock and lock your property to the back of the truck. Chain is cheap - so is a padlock. No more than 5 bucks will get you a good chain.
2. Get a hemlet (head protection). 3. Ride and enjoy your life :-) Bin dere - still doin' dat. Enjoy
