I have Marathon Plus on my tourer. Admittedly weight isn't an issue on a touring bike, so you might like to take that into account. However they roll well, the ride is fine and they are superbly tough. I've used them for about 4000 miles without ever having a puncture. They are tight to put on, but if you never puncture, putting them on and taking them off isn't an issue.
