I've seen and taco'd a few rims in my day and I agree with gstein that at that speed damage is inevitable but.....if you look at the video the rim is straight as Cavendish and the bike roll immediately after contact with the ground. Is it normal for them to "spring back" in that situation.

This has nothing to do with causation; I'm just curious about what I'm seeing.
