So you just have a chunk of the nipple left on the spoke? I would try making a very slow cut into the nipple until it broke through to the threaded portion. At that point, the piece should come right off. A Dremel with a cutoff wheel would do the trick.
Far too likely to damage the spoke. If it comes down to that then just cut the darn thing and get a new one. You're obsessing over a 40 cent part.
