I started using Runkeeper. It tracks multiple sports so I can log all my swimming and running in one spot online. It's got the auto-gps mapping, elevation etc. in the free version which is plenty for me. I'm sure the paid service has all the bells and whistles.
And, I set it to automatically update my facebook page with my recent activity so everyone can see how awesome I am
