I live near Sarasota, ( 44 miles round trip ) and I commute to work 5 days a week. And the hotter and more humid it is, the more I can't wait to get out of work and ride.
I will drink plenty of water before I get on the bike, and then drink water and Gatorade during the ride. And then Gatorade and whey protein after the ride, followed by as much water as I can stand, about a half gallon within an hour and a half of getting home!
