The component of theirs that I use the most is chains (which have changed names over the years...Sachs...Sedis...). I have a bunch of old bikes with six, seven, or eight cogs. Even the cheapest of their chains shifts well, and their "release clip" makes it easy to maintain the chains.

When I see "ten speed" chains advertised for $30, I'm even happier about my "old school" chains that I often find on sale for around $10...and they last almost "forever", unlike the new "ten speed" chains.
