to them are the important things. To a dedicated cyclist who happens to play golf on occasion, the cycling is more important than a non-dedicated cyclist who plays golf more and cycles once in a while. Just difference in priority given to cycling.
For example, Herbie calls himself a cycling sailor or something like that. I wouldn't be surprised if he knew far more about sailing and to him sailing was the important thing in his priorities.
