You can part out a bike in a week using eBay. Just dismantle the bike, photograph everything well, load the parts and let 'er rip.

I just parted out a bike and it took me about 3 weeks because I did in a couple of phases; I could have had it done faster if that was a goal. I think it was 19 separate auctions (did not include the frame, fork or headset). Mine was mostly vintage Campy, everything sold for more or less what I thought it was "worth."
