Thanks for the reply, rhm. I know Sugino makes 130 BCD rings in both widths. I'll probably opt for the 1/8" as it looks like more cogs are available as opposed to 3/32" upon finding an online catalog. I used Sheldon's calculator and Excel to make a spreadsheet for easy comparison of the combinations. I'm thinking 48x22 or 48x21 is a good place to start.
Here's the spreadsheet for posterity's sake. Calculations reflect 700c wheel, 28mm tire and 170mm cranks. Note that the last sequence should read "46x21" instead of "48x21".
I also included a "before" photo of the Pug. It took an oxalic acid bath before going to the powder coater.
