The next week in my doc's office, the nurse said "I hate to hear you crashed." When I asked her why, she said she rides 20 - 30 miles a day on the weekends but can't wear a helmet. So I had to ask why. She said that they're too hot and restrictive. I tell her that you can get helmets that are well-vented, and she says "Yeah, but they're like $100!!!"

So I pointed at my swollen eye and asked her how much her head was worth?

The brace is off my back finally and i'm back to work but the Dr. said no bike riding for 3 to 6 more weeks. The end of August will be 4 wks. and I plan on going for some test rides....with a new helmet of course.

Wow!
Scary stuff. Again, thank God for helmets.
Glad that you guys are relatively OK.
