Next week I am leaving for the Allegheny/C&O from Pittsburgh to DC. I was supposefd to do it earlier this year but weather was an issue. I plan on using my Schwalbe Marathon Supremes for the entire ride but am going to bring a set of back up tires for the mud if need be. I am starting Tue or Wed as soon as I take care of a few responsibilities here at home. Any tips or reccomendations are appreciated...I have read countless post- vids so I have a good idea of what I am in for. The only thing I am unsure of would be the bears as I plan on stealth and h/b camping the whole way, but no worries. If you are on the trail and see a guy with a heavily tattooed left leg on a LHT feel free to say hi, hopefully it will be me
