I learnt to ride a bike in 1966, at the age of eight. I like 'oddities' too!

I've only owned six bikes in my life;

one child's bike (that I learnt to ride on);
a big, black sit-up-and-beg ladies' bike which was actually my mother's but she didn't like to ride;
a hand-built boys' racer dating from about 1965 which I was given in 1970 and still own;
a pink ladies' bike that my husband rescued from the rubbish. It cleaned up nicely but I gave it away because it was too small and replaced it with:
a brand-new Shogun ladies' bike. (Un)fortunately*, I had to sell that for health reasons and replaced it with my current ride:
a Giant Revive semi-recumbent. I'm about to add an electric front wheel to that because my health has deteriorated. I should really get an electric wheelchair, but I'm not ready to give up peddling just yet!

*Unfortunately because it was a very nice bike, fortunately because the Revive is even better!
