I'm mostly a tourist, I own a 1974 (bought new in '76) Mercian Vincitore that has loads of old school parts on it - Phil hubs, Suntour Cyclone derailleurs and a Winner freewheel, Suntour Superbe brakes, Sugino cranks, Cinelli bar/stem. I've done two cross-US tours on it, one in '81, the latest in 2004. The bike performed beautifully. Lots of shorter tours on it too.
I also own a 2005 Cinelli Super Corsa (Ferrari Red, what else!) with full Campy Chorus. It is my dream bike. Did a few double centuries on it.

EDIT: Oh - and I've owned some oddities over the years:
1974 Lambert with the death fork - did two tours on it - San Francisco to L.A. and L.A. to Yosemite.
1984 Cannondale SM-500 mountain bike (1st year of production)
1986 Cannondale SR-300 road bike (wife still has one too, looks almost like it came off the showroom floor)
1987 Nishiki tandem with the classic 3-pulley Suntour rear derailleur
