The TdT is very well organized - clear starting areas, cops at every intersection, and frequent rest stops. The large number of riders makes for a really fun experience; no matter how fast you are you'll probably be able to ride in a group the whole way.

There are no gravel sections to ride, but there are two wash crossings where most riders dismount and push or carry the bikes.
