I'm a roadie that grew up mountain biking, I left mountain biking because I was sick of doing all the same trails and the trails my friends took me on where too uninspiring. That's why I started riding road. No matter where I was it was me against the asphalt. Up hills with a larger and less forgiving gear ratio than my mountain bike. Also since i turned roadie, I converted my mountain bike into a single speed to cruise around town with. Now I really want to get into downhill racing. I've always been a fan of John Tomac growing up and I would love to have a dual crown fork with 8" of travel in the back. I just don't know where to begin, and that will start a new thread in a couple seconds.
