Well as far as I can tell all the bearings are in perfect shape and the whole thing is sealed, so it can't be a grease problem. The pedal spins fine until I screw the end cap back on all the way. It's like something is pinching it but I can't imagine why. There's a ring that sits against the outer side of the bearing nearest to the cranks. Could that have worn too thin?
