'81 Schwinn Sprint needs some new gear!
Hi all! I'm new to the forum so I'd like to take this opportunity to say what's up to all of my fellow bicycle enthusiasts out there. I have had my Schwinn for about 6 months now and when I first got it the bike rode perfectly but I ride it everyday and it has recently started to have some problems. The rear hub is messed up. The guy at the bike shop said that it was "bent" and that I would need a new one. I decided I would just go ahead and get some new wheels because the one's that are on the bike now are stock. So my first question is what is a good 700c wheelset for my bike? I want something with good performance somewhere within the 2-300 dollar range. Also, I think my bottom bracket might be messed up. I don't even know where I would go to find something like that for a bike this old. I'm wondering whether I should just replace the whole crank set. I'm eager to get some feedback on thgis because I have no idea what I'm talking about! Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks a Ton
