Canndale makes a very good bike and if there is anyone who can tell you about their head shock it would be Dan (very skilled mechanic and mountain biker)... and if it does fail Cannondale has one of the best warranty programs of any company out there.
Call it whatever you want... it will probably get defined more by what you do with it but when you come in here with your new Trek Madone and start telling us it's a hybrid we are gonna have to stage an intervention.
