Can't remember my birthday this year, but I can remember my 50th, 8 years ago. Freezing cold, sleet coming down, Black ice on the roads to the hills. 50 was supposed to be a landmark, so I was taken out to breakfast at our favourite cafe by my riding mates. 30miles offroad over muddy tracks, soaking clothes,sweating like mad due to the layers put on to keep out the cold, Bike not working due to the mud clogging the gear train.
Boy did I enjoy the breakfast- I want to forget that ride.
