I am riding with a disease called lymphedema (abnormal swelling of the body). Pedaling seems to drain the fluid from my body better than anything I have tried. The RANS crank-forward bikes start at around $1K, but (-if you weren't aware-) RANS sells framesets for their crank-forward bikes. Getting the best crank-forward is not as expensive as it sounds. You can ask on the

The frameset includes all the "special" parts, then you'd just go get a $50 MTB or hybrid off craigslist, three chains and then swap the parts over.
