I like how they ride, especially loaded. I sold my '84 for $500 last year, still have a '82 (same as the one on eBay listing), albeit disassembled. I am more of a spinner than masher, those long stays really soak up the bumps, and the long wheelbase gives it excellent stability. I wish they were designed for 700C instead of 27" wheels, though.
