on the way down i realized this is a very pretty road. funny how i didn't notice any of it on the way up.

I checked out the finish line pics on the LKHC website and felt a pang of regret that I couldn't make it yesterday - only climbed WC once before and that was more in survival mode than I'd like. The section from 11mins onwards of your climb video really captures the suffering of this climb though. You're dead on with your comments on the scenery.
