Nope, seems like your priorities are right on. Whenever I've got my bike on the car rack, my biggest worry is someone rear-ending me and demolishing my bike. Insurance will pay me for the car (mostly), but I'm not so sure about the bike. And I like the bike a whole lot more than the car.
