Ouch! Had a header over the bars two summers ago. Got up and rode home, thinking: okay, I've got some serious road rash on my hands. One day later, knew I had two broken/horribly bruised ribs (same outcome/treatment either way, so we never got the x-ray). One week later, noticed the ripples up the back of my helmet, was glad it wasn't my head. Two months later, got my hand x-rayed for another reason, found out I'd broken a bone in it, too.
Give your body a day, then if anything really hurts, go see a doc just in case.
