I have the stock Romisen R5 and it is a very nice light because you have a defined hotspot with a fair amount of side spill which is useful for bike riding.. The problem with many of the P7's is the beam is so wide it feel very washed out at time..
Colleen - which model did you get - Cool white or Neutral and is it the OP or smooth reflector..
